It looks like the big shots are about to showcase their powers as Irene and August have engaged their respective enemies, Acnologia and Natsu's team. Although August may not resort to bloodshed, Irene is all revved up to engage the Chaos Dragon.
Last chapter, big players arrived at the battlefield as the former Oracion Seis members got ready to assist the guilds of Magnolia. Now members of Jellal's Crime Sorceire, they are expected to make a huge difference in the war as they are known as one of the elite dark guilds in Fiore. Also, Irene is brewing something huge and even Zeref is puzzled on what she is planning to do.

Based from the spoiler photos, it looks like August is listening to Brandish's plea of not fighting against Fairy Tail. Meanwhile, Gajeel and Levi are seen battling Bradman, who is revealed to have an ultimate form. Meanwhile, Irene is setting up preparations in her upcoming fight with Acnologia.
Fans over at Reddit came up with their own "Fairy Tail" chapter 487 predictions. User Ardiin stated in the forum that Bradman's face and identity will be fully introduced in the next chapter and his fight with Gajeel would not end just yet. Meanwhile, the Oracion Seis will be confronted by Irene's two lackeys and will be successful in destroying Sorano's moving fortress.
