According to the Capcom-Unity, Ibuki will bringing some new tricks in "Strete Fighter 5" which helps players challenge themselves in using tricky and technical fighters as she now has the ability to glide in mid-air and throw several ninja bombs at opponents to distract, confuse and damage them making her more unpredictable in battle. Her costume is also new as it appears to be a mixture of a school uniform and her ninja outfit in "Street Fighter 3".

Ibuki's kunai projectiles can be utilized in a number of ways and can only stock five kunais at a time, thus, their utility is just as powerful as ever as she can send her entire stock flying at the opponent for serious damage. She can also build up energy which can be used to attack opponents and the damage it receives depends on the blast range on how long her tenrai is charged.

Like most other characters in "Street Fighter 5", Ibuki has her own V-Trigger and V-Skill. Her V-Trigger is called Isshaku Horokudama, where in Ibuki uses her bag of ninja tools to throw bombs at opponents. Players can launch th bomb depending on which direction is held upon activation and it can either go off quickly, after a slight delay or after a longer delay. Gamers will have time to explore as to how they will utilize her V-Trigger.

Ibuki's V-Trigger allows her to launch her opponents into the air and performs several ninjutsu seals culminating to a large tenrai blast to the enemy's skull.

In addition, the Ibuki character trailer also introduces a new stage in the form of the day time in the Kanzuki estate.
