The news was dropped in an official blog by Halo Way Point where the author mentioned the team behind the newest game is already "gearing up" for the E3 conference. What seem to have made fans excited is the revelation that it will be playable in the event proper. While this was confirmed, other details remained undisclosed.

While directly mentioning about the good news, the author of the blog seemed to have opted not to delve into further details by saying, "The Halo Wars 2 team is anxiously gearing up for E3, where the game will indeed be playable. There's also - well, I can't talk about more just yet."

Developed by Total War Studio Creative Assembly, "Halo Wars 2" is expected for launching this fall through XBox One and Windows 10. A prequel of the game was first released back in 2009 on XBox 360. Compared to other "Halo" games, the Wars series uses real time strategy.

Meanwhile, some players may be asking if "Halo Wars 2" will be playable by earlier versions of Windows since it will be launched in Windows 10. To answer the question, a Microsoft representative confirmed that it will be exclusive on XBox One and Windows 10 only, where he said, "'Halo Wars 2' is launching exclusively on Xbox One and Windows 10 in fall 2016. We have nothing to share about additional platforms at this time," Polygon reported.

This good news is probably stirring excitement among Halo fans especially that the E3 conference is fast approaching. Mixed reactions may be expected as soon as "Halo Wars 2" is unveiled particularly at the moment where someone gets a chance of playing it during the event.
