Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release is rumored to happen in October, but it already has an opponent with Asus Transformer 3 Pro.

The two hybrid will surely steal the hearts of tech enthusiasts. Below is the comparison of the rumored specs of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 against the Asus Transformer 3 Pro features.

Screen Display

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will reportedly pack the same 12-inch PixelTouch screen display, but with 4K pixel resolution. Asus Transformer 3 Pro boasts a 12.6-inch screen display with 2880 x 1920 resolution at 275 ppi.

Processor

Asus Transformer 3 Pro runs with Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, while Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will reportedly include the forthcoming Kaby Lake processor.

Storage

Microsoft offers 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB SSD variants on its Surface Pro devices, while Asus Transformer 3 Pro offers 1TB SSD storage only.

Ports

Asus Transformer 3 Pro has USB Type-C connector, Thunderbolt 3 port, USB 3.0 and HDMI ports, while Microsoft Surface Pro 5 tablet supports microSD card reader, Headset jack, Mini DisplayPort, Cover port. SurfaceConnect as well as USB 3.1.        

Camera

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will most likely retain its 8 megapixels back camera and 5 megapixels front-facing camera. Meanwhile, Asus Transformer 3 Pro does not have a front facing camera, but packs 13MP shooter at the back.

Battery

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will most likely boast An 11 hours of video playback, while the battery capacity of Asus Transformer 3 Pro is still undisclosed.

Stylus/Keyboard

The Microsoft tablet comes with its keyboard accessory, but is also suspected to arrive with magnetic charging dock that possibly charges the phone and stylus. This being said, the stylus pen is predicted to be rechargeable, according to a patent filed by the Redmond-based tech giant. On the other hand, a backlit ASUS Transformer Cover Keyboard and ASUS Pen are both included.
