Rumors continue to swirl that Samsung's second flagship this 2016 will debut no later than August 15 and according to long-time gadget news leaker Evan Blass, the actual release date of the Galaxy Note 6 or Note 7 could happen as early as the third day of the same month. Unveiling is likely set late July.

Also known as @evleaks, Blass reported that sixth phablet flagship from Samsung will be out of the gate at the start of August or weeks earlier than the Galaxy Note 5 rollout in 2015.

As the tweet, first pointed to by Phandoid, is dated June 3 and Blass revealed that the Note 6/7 is only two months away, no more and no less, it can be assumed that commercial availability of the device will begin August 3. It's unclear, however, if the new Note outing will be a general or worldwide release or limited launch that will involve key markets such South Korea, Japan and the United States.

But in an earlier tweet, Blass had claimed that it's going to an August 15 unboxing for the Note 6 or Note 7 with the phablet reaching U.S. shores ahead of the Note 5 arrival last year.

Samsung's new phablet touching down ahead of schedule makes sense, BGR said in a report, as the approach proved helpful for the Galaxy Note 5 to gain better traction against the iPhone 6S Plus in 2015. "Last year, Samsung changed tunes, making sure the Galaxy Note 5 would hit stores well ahead of the iPhone 6s series. The device became popular with buyers," the report said.

Also, Samsung trying out all possible tactics to upend its chief rival in the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus will see the Galaxy S7 bigger sibling packing significant component bumps. Rumors said that instead of the Snapdragon 820 chip and 4GB RAM found on the GS7, the 2016 Samsung phablet will boast of SD 823, or the SD 820 enhanced, that is paired with a whopping 6GB of RAM provision.

And to further beef up what looked like as the Note 6 or Note 7 desktop-class feature upgrades, speculations are rife that Samsung will issue an edition of the device with 256GB of built-in storage space. It's expected too that the device will have a microSD slot that support 200GB memory card like the GS7, which suggests that users are set to enjoy more than 400GB of usable memory for the most high-end Galaxy Note 6 or Note 7.

But what could prove as the biggest selling point of Samsung's new phablet flagship, widely rumored to take the name Galaxy Note 7 instead of Note 6 on release date, is the possibility of the device coming out of the box with Android N, which is a key factor why it will come out ahead of schedule.
