"Prison Break" actor Dominic Purcell, who plays Lincoln Burrows, had a major accident earlier this week during the filming of the shows reboot. Fortunately, the impact was nothing major and the actor will be back to work soon.

The 46-year-old actor sustained a head injury and a broken nose after an iron bar fell on him on the set in Morocco last Monday, E! News reported. In an official statement, Fox Television Group said that Purcell was immediately airlifted to a medical facility to get treated. "We are happy to report that he is in great spirits and is expected to make a full recovery. He wanted us to express his appreciation to the fans around the world who have expressed their concern and support, and to reassure them that he will be back at work very soon."

The actor, who is now back in a relationship with long-time love AnnaLynne McCord, was thankful to only get "a hundred stitches" on his head and a broken nose. It was a near miss for him and he was thankful to be alive. McCord was there when the accident happened and was able to take care of her boyfriend. She also posted an update on her Instagram page by uploaded a photo of herself and Purcell during their helicopter ride to the medical facility.

She wrote, "My #badass muthaf**ker man not worried at all during our 2 hour 'copter ride to be treated following an incident during filming. Won't lie. It was scary AF wondering for hours if his skull was in tact. @christina.northrup giving the watch-care, producer eye. Alas, I'm with a rough'n tough Aussie for a reason. That hard head is good for something! [Cheers to] #notdying."

"Prison Break" reboot will launch all-new episodes early 2017 on FOX.
