"Fairy Tail" chapter 488 is expected to be big as Irene will finally go face-to-face against Acnologia and Brandish pulls off a stunning move against his comrade, August. It would be interesting to see if the tide will now turn against the Spriggan 12 and the Alvarez Empire.
Last chapter, Gajeel and Levi teamed-up to overcome the menacing Bradman. It was revealed that the Spriggan member can use the power of all members of the Tartaros guild, who were all demons. Fortunately, the two mages from Fairy Tail had experience fighting and defeating some of the dark guild's members. However, it was not enough to defeat Bradman and Gajeel was forced to take extreme measures just to neutralize the villain.
Gajeel absorbed the Etherion just to match the overwhelming strength of Bradman and he was successful in causing some damage on what seems to be an invincible opponent. Also, August is not pleased with Brandish trying to set up a negotiation as it is a sign of betrayal to their homeland.
Fairy Tail" chapter 488 was leaked early and raw photos are now available over at Manga Mint. In this chapter, Irene and Acnologia will finally square off and by the looks of it, both characters share some history with each other. Meanwhile, Brandish can be seen stabbing August with a large sword but the strongest wizard will not go down without a fight. It looks like he have a secret transformation up his sleeve and it seems like Natsu and the rest are up for a big fight against him.
Also, it looks like Gajeel will pay some heavy price for digesting the Etherion power as he can be seen being warped inside a portal which happened to Erza during the earlier arcs. Levi can be seen on a separate panel to be reaching out to the Iron Dragon Slayer as she tries to rescue her love interest.
Fans over at Reddit believe the Spriggan 12 members will go out one by one very soon. August will be defeated by Natsu's team but Brandish will also be rendered unable to fight. Then, Acnologia will decimate Irene and the main stage will be set between Natsu, Acnologia and Zeref.
