Could it be that Microsoft is preparing for its next-generation game console release date, rumored to be as Xbox Two or Xbox Scorpio, as new deals on the Xbox One offer the device for as low as $299? The promotional campaign also dangles bundles that include compelling game titles or up to 1TB of built-in storage space.

The ongoing Microsoft Xbox One sale, according to PC Mag, will only run on limited time so gamers are advised to hustle up on grabbing their preferred configurations. One tempting pick is the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle that Microsoft paired with 500GB of storage room. Hot pick too is the Name Your Game bundle that permits shoppers to combine the Xbox One 500GB with the game title of their choice.

But if the goal is to score the largest storage space that is the best bang for the buck, the Xbox One 1TB bundle is ready to snag for only $319.

Or, as recommended by PC Mag, gamers can forego of the savings on the current Xbox One and simply hop on the upcoming refresh, which rumors said will be part of the 2016 E3 revelations. The upgraded console could be unboxed as the stripped down version of the Xbox One, likely with smaller profile and cheaper price tag.

Speculations are rife that this console will be labelled Xbox Scorpio as many are convinced that the Xbox Two launch will not happen until 2017. In a report, Forbes said that Scorpio is likely to become the high-end Xbox One option, contradicting the rumors that a cheaper and smaller Xbox build will soon come out.

As the more expensive option, the Scorpio edition is expected to get beefed up specifications while the original Xbox One will naturally take the budget course. Forbes said that the older model sticker price is likely to be discounted to as low as $199. Introductory price, however, for the Scorpion remains unknown.

Yet for the more hardcore of Xbox fans, what could prove as the significant jump is the so-called Xbox Two, which PC Mag will unpack with built in virtual reality or VR support. This will be for a 2017 E3 unveiling with the release date to follow shortly.
