Following the epic deals that saw the Huawei Nexus 6P discounted by up to $100 in the past days, it's the LG-made Nexus 5X's turn to be part of compelling promo packages. The 5X just got cheaper by $125 over at eBay, which for many Android fans somehow signal that the Google Nexus 2016 release date is happening soon.

With the flurry of price drops on existing Nexus handsets and the exit of old models, Google is seen to prepare the way for the next Nexus launch that many believe will happen at the same time that Android N is rolled out.

The latest indicator is the new Nexus 5X sale that further excited Nexus fans. Previously, the Nexus 6P sticker price was chopped off by as much $100, which the 5X is surpassing with a $125 price cut over at eBay.

Ready for free shipping is the 32GB Nexus 5X, which Droid Life said is factory unlocked and will work on most GSM networks in the United States and abroad. As mentioned above, the price tag is down from the original $400 to $275, a cut that should prod an immediate buy decision.

Droid Life said that the Nexus 5X is available in White or Black color option with one year warranty protection. Coming out of the box is a 5.2-inch smartphone with a 1080p display resolution. The camera set up is 12.3MP on rear and 5MP on front.

Firing up everything is a Snapdragon 808 chip in hexa-core configuration, supported by 2GB of RAM. Android Marshmallow is running the Nexus 5X show but as Pure Android fans are fully aware of, the spotlight will soon train on Android N - also stock and bloat-free.

And when Android N is finally out, it's highly likely that the new series of Nexus devices will tag along. Rumor say that HTC is a shoo-in to sell two Nexus phones - one a mid-range like the Nexus 5X and the other a high-end model that is rumored as the repurposed HTC 10.

But as third Nexus is touching down in light of the recent statement by Huawei that "we're doing the Nexus again this year." A leaked benchmark listing suggested that the device is a bumped up version of the Nexus 6P with Snapdragon 823 and 4GB RAM headlining the inside components.

It remains a mystery, however, if the 6P version 2.0 is a smartphone or a compact tablet as Huawei was previously rumored to assemble the Nexus 7 2016 slate for Google. And all these Nexus 2016 devices are slated for release date no later than August or around the same time that Android N will go live.
