The Nexus 2016 on release date will still look and behave "as Google intended," them to be or as Stock Android devices with the solid promise of wider and faster Project Fi coverage. And on the hardware side, Huawei and HTC remain as the solid next Nexus partners.

It might be that Google CEO Sundar Pichai had recently hinted that the upcoming Nexus models will reflect more of the Pure Android blueprint designed for the devices. Pichai said that they will be "more opinionated," for the Nexus 2016, which many took as the tech giant taking charge of the inside and outside make of its signature smartphones and tablets.

But according to XDA Developers, Nexus will stick to the Stock Android, which is contrary to the reports that assumed vanilla Android settings will gradually fade out starting with the Nexus family of devices to come out this year. The rumor stemmed from Pichai's statement that on top of the native Android features, Google intends to beef up on the Nexus functionalities.

The XDA opinion piece is not convinced that Google will mess with the Stock Android concept, arguing that Pichai's Nexus enhancement visions will be confined to the design and build of the devices. "Sundar (Pichai) never even mentioned changing how Nexus Phones receive android. His mention of being opinionated is in regards to the hardware, and how they interact with the OEMs to create the Nexus devices," the report said.

Sure there will be software improvements but Nexus will remain on the Stock Android zone. At best, "Google is planning to continue to mold Android for the better to shape the future of the mobile industry, and give the Nexus phones extra spice in the process," the report added.

And one good example of Google's planned value-added services to the Nexus line is Project Fi. In a report, 9to5Google said that Google remains committed on its vow to provide wireless connection "when you need it, even in areas with poor speeds or limited coverage."

The company is expanding its Project Fi MVNO cellular network in a new tie up with US Cellular that promises stable and fast LTE access for existing and would-be Nexus users in at least 23 more U.S. states. Google is already working with Sprint and T-Mobile on the same project and one kit that best exemplifies accessibility attached with Project FI is the $199 Nexus 5X that comes out of the box with the feature.

It is expected that the same affordable package will be the part of the Google Nexus 2016 release date that is pegged to happen August, alongside the Android N rollout. The devices are rumored to come from HTC and Huawei - two smartphones from the former and a compact 7-inch tablet from the latter.
