Gigabyte has just revealed their new GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming video card which uses the company's Windforce Stack Cooling and Power Pack accessories to make the deal even sweeter.

NVIDIA has been selling the Founder's Edition cards since launch day but more are waiting for the custom AIB cards which are just slowly popping up now. The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming edition is one of the top picks.

Custom AIB cards are preferred by more PC gamers because of the factory overclock that the cards receive. It means that they will be able to push the limits more because of the already-overclocked base frequencies plus the better cooling solution.

Gigabyte has not yet released the frequencies for their GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming version but it is estimated that it would at least sport 1695MHz for the core clockspeed, PC Gamer has learned. Boost clock can reach more than 1800MHz or higher.

Even the Founder's Edition of the card can reach up to 2000Mhz due to the GPU Boost 3.0 feature. With better cooling, the custom editions could push that limit even higher for more framerates.

The Gigabyte GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming version makes use of the Windforce Stack Cooling system with a total of six composite copper heat pipes, Hot Hardware reported. Another cooling feature is the 3D Active Fan technology that is also present in the G1 Gaming version that was unveiled earlier.

For PC gamers who have a case that is small or have bad air circulation inside, the custom cooler cards may not be the best choice. The FE and blower types could be their best bet to avoid dispersing the heat onto the other parts of the computer.

Online stores such as Amazon and Newegg have been lighting up but stocks are quickly depleted once the cards are shown to be in stock. It usually takes just several minutes before all of the stocks are out again.

Gigabyte will still reveal the official clocks and pricing of their GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming version. The release date is also a mystery considering that other custom cards are also not revealing their shipping dates as well.
