The festival will start on July 2, which happens to be the second of the Anime Expo event at the Petree Hall as the festival will feature numerous guest appearance from "Sword Art Online" English dub cast Bryce Papenbrook (Kirito), Cherami Leigh (Asuna), Cassandra Lee Morris (Leafa), Stephanie Sheh (Yui), Michelle Ruff (Sinon), Ben Diskin (Death Gun), Christine Cabanos (Silica), Sarah Williams (Lisbeth), Patrick Seitz (Agil), Kirk Thornton (Klein) and Erica Mendez (Yuuki) along with Alex Von David (ADR Script Writer/Director) as the events main MC.

There will also be some "secret guest" appearances during the festival and a huge announcement for "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" although there are no further details as to what the announcement is all about. But anime fans will likely see an official trailer and possibly an exact release date, AnimeNewsNetwork reported.

In other news, four of "Sword Art Online's" recurring characters are added to "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" as Kirito and Asuna are joined by Sinon, Lisbeth, Silica and Klein.

These four characters will have new costume design within "SAO: Ordinal Scale" as they will join the new MMORPG video game using a new NerveGear device called "Augma". The designs for the device does not have a full-dive function from the previous devices, however, its AR function is greatly enhanced to compensate for it and can transmit visual, audio and tactual sensation data to players while they are awake, thus enabling the users to enjoy fitness and health management, Crunchyroll reported.

"Ordinal Scale" will have gamers gain the ability to raise their ranks by collecting items that appear in various places in the real world or defeating monsters.

The ranking system features are indicated by an ordinal number instead of a cardinal number. As a result, high ranking players will have overwhelming power and it will a major factor in deciding the outcome of any PvP battles within the game.

No doubt that anime fans are excited to learn more about "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" at the Anime Expo next month.

"Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" will launch in Japanese cinemas sometime in 2017.
