Fans of “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki are excited because the 30-year-old Hallyu star resumes his fan meet schedule on June 11, Saturday, in Hong Kong after the unexpected postponement of the Shanghai fan meet on June 4 two days before the event.
The Hong Kong fan meet would be held at the AsiaWorld-Expo, Arena at 8 p.m. The arena is Hong Kong’s largest indoor seated area, covering a floor space of 10,880 square meters and with a maximum capacity of 14,000. Ticket prices are at HK$780, HK$980 and HK$1,380, while those on wheelchair are charged $780.
However, fans are not allowed to bring in the arena cameras, video and voice recorders, and unauthorized photography, filming and recording is banned. To ensure compliance, those gadgets must be checked-in at the Concierge on the ground floor with a charge of HK$25 every 4 hours per device, or the Lockers on the ground level, with a charge of HK$30 per 4 hours.
Song Joong-ki’s special guest for the Hong Kong fan meet is actor and close friend Lee Kwang Soo, while for the Chengdu fan meet on June 17, his guest is Song Hye Kyo, his co-star in “Descendants of the Sun.”
Because of the dating rumors that has been hounding the two, fueled further when they attended the 52nd Baeksang Art Awards on June 3 when they were observed to be extra sweet to each other, Morning News Guide reported that “fans are brimming with excitement over the possibility that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo may ultimately reveal details about their relationship.”
While that is a speculation, the actress’s guesting has been confirmed by the Sichuan Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Also sure is that the so-called dating couple would sing “You Are My Everything,” the track from “Descendants of the Sun.”
Song Joong-ki ends the China leg of his Asian tour with a fan meet on June 25 in Taipei. So far, Blossom Entertainment has not announced yet when would the Shanghai fan meet push through and the other Asian cities the actor would hold fan meets.
