It was just in May when the hit Fox musical drama television series, "Empire," concluded its second season. Since the series already received a green light for a third installment in January, latest reports about the upcoming "Empire" Season 3 are pointing to a more intense family problem in the Lyon's circle.
During an interview with TV Line, the executive producer of the series, Ilene Chaiken, said that "Empire" Season 3 is going to be a clash between Dark vs. Light. The showrunner also hinted that the true character of the family will be shown in "Empire" Season 3. When Chaiken was asked about Cookie (played by Taraji Henson) deciding to leave Lucious (played by Terrence Howard), the executive producer hinted that even if the Lyon's and their company remains to stick together, Lucious has already done the damage to Cookie.
It can be remembered that during the finale episode of "Empire" Season 2, Lucious has once again showed his selfish side and decided to save himself when he chose to marry Anika over Cookie.
On the other hand, according to Variety, aside from Lucious getting possible problems with Cookie because of his decision that devastated his co-CEO, it was also revealed that another character would also cause some problems with the former drug dealer turned into a CEO of one of New York's most successful entertainment company, Empire. It was said that Lucious' half-brother, Tariq (played by Morocco Omari), is going to be a torn in the CEO's life, knowing that the latest addition to the series was revealed to be associated with the FBI.
According to the same publication, "Empire" Season 3 will be sensational. This was what the other showrunner of the series, Sanaa Hamri, exposed to the fans. The Season 2 finale of "Empire" provided a cliffhanger to the viewers, and that the supporters of the series are now speculating whether a major character died in the ending.
As of the moment, there is still no official confirmation coming from Fox regarding the release date of the "Empire" Season 3.
