"Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 penultimate episode will see House Bolton and House Stark finally come face to face in the battle for Winterfell. Fans know that Jon Snow and Sansa are prepared to take down Ramsay Bolton.  However, on the other side of the battlefield, Ramsay is standing with a much larger army than the Starks.

While the network is yet to release the official synopsis for episode 9, the trailer for "Battle of the Bastards" gives away some major spoilers. It gives a glimpse at the battlefield and the armies at both the sides. Jon and Sansa take the lead on one side and Ramsay on the other side.

Jon and Sansa look distressed while Ramsay looks confident with a perpetual sly smile on his face. Meanwhile, the promo video teases Ser Davos standing near what looks like a pyre. Several media outlets are speculating that the events of the war will impact him in a major way.

In addition, Sansa and Jon argue about bringing down Ramsay.

"Battles have been won against greater odds. I've fought beyond the wall against worse than Ramsay Bolton," Jon Snow tells Sansa in the trailer.

"You don't know him," Sansa quips at Jon Snow, who she thinks is underestimating Ramsay.

In another shot, Jon Snow tells Melisandre not to bring him back, if he falls this time.

In the end, the conclusion of the battle comes down to just one person. "Thousands of men don't need to die. Only one of us," someone says in the video.

Does this mean one of the men is ready to sacrifice himself to put a stop to the battle? Scroll down to watch the intense promo teasing the events of "Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 episode 9.

Rumours suggest that several characters will bite the dust in the wake of the war. According to Fansided's predictions, Jon and Sansa are safe but everyone else seems to be in danger. The website suggests Davos Seaworth's time might be over. Other names suggested by the publication are Petyr Baelish, also known as Littlefinger, and Melisandre, who is very old now.

Furthermore, Rickon Stark is predicted to be one of the major characters dying this season. A Reddit user with username Truede suggests that Rickon dies after Ramsay releases him. As Rickon runs towards his brother, Ramsay shoots arrows in the sky and one of the arrows hit Rickon and he dies in Jon's arms.

More predictions suggest that Tommen will also bite the dust in "Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 episode 9. However, the reason of his death remain unknown.

At the same time, "Battle of the Bastards" is expected to conclude with the death of either Jon or Ramsay. While Jon recently resurrected from the dead, it seems he is here to stay. Thus, Ramsay has to die. However, the trailer shows Jon is prepared to take the fall.

"Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 episode 9 (penultimate) "Battle of the Bastards" airs June 19 at 9:00 pm on HBO. Stay tuned for more spoilers and updates.
