JYJ's Park Yoo Chun has been accused of rape by a 24-year-old woman who works at a nightclub located in Gangnam, Seoul. The supposed victim claimed that the singer sexually assaulted her inside the bathroom of the club at around 5 a.m. on June 4.

According to Korea Herald, Park is now under investigation as the complaint has already been filed at the Gangnam Police Station on June 10. It was learned that the plaintiff's boyfriend submitted the charges on her behalf. She was not named at first but was eventually identified as a certain Ms. Lee.

For the evidence, Lee handed over the underwear and clothes that she wore on the day of the attack, which will be forwarded to the National Forensic Service for DNA testings. In her statement, she told the authorities that she met the JYJ member for the first time at the club. While they were drinking, the singer allegedly made sexual advances but she turned him down.

During the initial investigation, the police did not find any significant information regarding the rape accusations. Even the CCTV footage taken from the nightclub's hallway did not yield anything out of the ordinary. However, both Park and Lee will be asked to report to the police for questioning.

In response to the news, Park's agency, C-Jes Entertainment, fired back and quickly denied the allegations. The agency representative said that the stories were just made up and one-sided. He added that Lee's statements are clearly malicious and was done with the pure intent of destroying Park's image and for personal gain.

C-Jes Entertainment declared that the truth will come out and it will prove that their talent is innocent. They will also cooperate with the police and assured that Park will diligently conform to the investigation. They asked the media to refrain from writing unconfirmed reports and wait until the completion of the investigation instead, Star News reported.

Park is currently serving in the army and was assigned to desk duty at the Seoul Gangnam District Office. He wanted to be an active soldier but due to his asthma, he was not qualifed for that type of military service.
