Things are getting bad to worse for tech giant Samsung as some of its Smart TVs started to display annoying pop-up ads. Earlier this week Samsung received negation comments regarding its recently released privacy policy.

Samsung has already issued a statement confirming that its smart TVs are erroneously giving out unsolicited pop-up video advertisements, according to CNet. The same incidents were also reported when using third-party apps in watching movies.

According to Samsung, the company is already conducting a detailed investigation to get to the bottom of the problem. The South Korean company added that it is their top priority.

Many of Samsung smart TV users took their frustration to various social networking sites. One post on Reddit said that an inaudible Pepsi video advertisement keeps on popping up when using the video streaming app Plex. A representative from Plex said that the company was not behind the annoying pop-ups.

The problem has crawled to various parts of the world with one complaint coming from Australia saying that the Foxtel TV service is plagued by the same Pepsi advert. The report added that every time the advert pops up the TV goes blank and halts the live TV broadcast.

The complaint posted on Foxtel's company forum said, "After about 15 minutes of watching live TV, the screen goes blank, and then a 16:9 sized Pepsi advert (taking up about half the screen) pops up and stops Foxtel playing."

It was reported that on 2014, Samsung has teamed-up with Yahoo in order to create adverts and other interactive experiences, according to The Guardian. However, when the news broke out, Samsung said that the new service will only be optional.
