The Minnesota Timberwolves are starting to become a force to be reckoned with as reports state that they may land Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah. To sweeten things up, they also acquired one of the most respected head coaches available in Tom Thibodeau.

After the emergence of Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns as potential superstars this season, it may no longer be a surprise should they make a huge stride in the next season. The team was lacking frontcourt presence last season since center Nikola Pekovic were out for most of the season and Kevin Garnett were just playing limited minutes.

Moreover, Noah was not pleased at all with the amount of minutes he got. He was

"Terrible. I was very disappointed," Bleacher Report quoted Noah saying. "I played little minutes, and then I got injured and the team didn't reach the expectations. Very bad season but you need to learn from these things to become better."

Should they acquire Noah, who is known best for being a defensive stalwart, will anchor the young team's defense and will have an easy way transitioning with the system since he played for Thibodeau for more than half a decade in Chicago, Hall of Fame Magazine reported.

Another Bull that is being linked to the T-Wolves is All-Star Jimmy Butler. However, he is still under contract with the team and the only way for the Wolves to acquire his services is via trade. The Bulls have made it known that they will only give up Butler if the Wolves are willing to include Wiggins and the fifth pick of this year's draft in the deal.

This deal, however, may not be of best interest for both teams as Wiggins is perceived as a cornerstone for the young team while Butler is the face of the franchise, taking over former MVP Derrick Rose.

Should the Wolves land Noah, he will be a terrific replacement over the oft-injured Pekovic. They can form a starting five of Noah at center, Towns at power forward, Wiggins at shooting guard, Zach Lavine at shooting guard and Ricky Rubio at point guard.

Here are some of Noah's best highlights as a member of the Bulls.
