Amber Heard will not appear in court on June 17, Friday, as the hearing for a permanent restraining order against her estranged husband Johnny Depp has been postponed. The Los Angeles County Court's public information officer has confirmed the postponement.

The case will now be heard on Aug. 2, 15 and 16. The continuance was requested only by Depp's legal team and not by Heard's team, Us Weekly reported.

As reported earlier, Heard filed for divorce on May 23. At the time, she requested for spousal support, but has withdrawn the same a few days later.  Days later, she requested a restraining order, alleging that Depp has physically abused and manhandled her. The actress claimed in the court document that since media is falsely depicting her attempts to attain Domestic Violence Restraining Order as being financially motivated, she is withdrawing her request for spousal support.

Heard was reportedly set to testify against her estranged husband, claiming that he physically abused her throughout their relationship. According to court documents, the 30-year-old actress has signed a declaration that stated she "could and would competently testify" if called as a witness in court. She also said that she would need at least two weeks to gather all of the documents needed to present in court.

On the other hand Depp's lawyer Laura Wasser, has earlier filed documents asking that the court disallow Heard from testifying against the actor, if she failed to "appear for deposition." The actor is currently staying at his Bahamas home and has been touring with his band, Hollywood Vampires.

Wasser has denied the allegations on behalf of Depp and claimed that Heard was "attempting to secure" a portion of the "Lone Ranger" star's reported $400 million fortune. Many of the actor's famous friends and exes have also come to his defense.

Earlier, it was rumored that Heard is willing to settle the domestic violence case outside the court. However, sources close to her told TMZ that she never expressed any desire to settle the case and they believe the rumor is being spun by Depp and his team as they know her testimony will destroy the actor.
