Here is the Android 6.0.1 M and Android N release news for Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016), J5, S5, Note 5, S6 Edge Plus, S6 and S6 Edge.

According to various reports, the electronics giant Samsung will update the Galaxy J7, Galaxy J5, Galaxy J3, Galaxy A8, Galaxy A5, Galaxy Tab S2 and Galaxy Alpha with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 for some regions in South Korea and the United States run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. However, devices released in China run Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Reports indicate that the firmware has been released to the Galaxy J5 (2015) and Galaxy A9. The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) will also get Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update soon. It has got Wi-Fi certification.

Android Marshmallow update has rolled out for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6. The Samsung S7 Edge and S7 have Android Marshmallow out of the box, Digital Trends reported.

According to reports, the Galaxy S5 Android 6.0.1 M update is rolling out to owners in Korea. Also, the Android Marshmallow update is rolling out in Sri Lanka for the SM-G900F, in Germany and Italy for the SM-G900F, in Canada for Telus and in India for the SM-G900I.

In America, it is rolling out for Galaxy S5 Sport and Galaxy S5 owners on Sprint. T-Mobile Galaxy S5 users can download the Android Marshmallow update over Wi-Fi. They can also manually update with Smart Switch for PC.

Furthermore, the mobile carrier Verizon is rolling out the Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 6.0.1 update to its users.

The Galaxy Note 5 Android 6.0.1 M update is rolling out in many nations including Australia, South Korea, New Zealand, Pakistan, Nigeria, Malaysia, Brazil and India.

The mobile carriers T-Mobile and Sprint are rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the  Note 5. The latest update should be available to all owners right now.

Rumor has it that Android N will be available in August or September and will come directly to 2016 Nexus devices.

According to a SamMobile report, Samsung devices such as the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6 edge Plus, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 will receive the Android N update in the fourth quarter of 2016.

However, some reports suggest that Android N will roll out to Samsung devices in the first quarter of 2017.
