While most game companies utilize the E3 platform to announce their upcoming games and consoles, Nintendo seems to have adopted a different approach. Apparently, the Japanese multinational consumer company will make an announcement regarding its upcoming console, codenamed Nintendo NX, sometime during fall 2016.

Speculations related to the possible launch date of Nintendo NX have been flooding the Internet since the company announced its plans. In a recent interview with the French website La Presse, Nintendo Canada CEO, Pierre-Paul Trepanier, has offered an approximate time frame as to when fans can expect first concrete news about the device.

The company has focused on "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" at the E3 2016 and they will talk about the NX in next fall, Trepanier told the French website. He added that they would only be talking about the NX at that time.

Undoubtedly, this is some great news for the fans that are eagerly waiting to learn how innovative the new console is, but the company is likely to face stiff competition once again. This is primarily because many other tech firms will also be releasing their new consoles in 2017.

For instance, Microsoft has announced at the E3 2016 the company will release the Xbox One Project Scorpio, a more powerful Xbox One, in fall 2017. Similarly, Sony too will join the fray with its upcoming console, the PS4 Neo.

However, Nintendo does not seem to be worried over the weakness of its Wii U, which will be succeeded by the NX, or the fact that the launch of the NX will coincide with that of Xbox One Project Scorpio and the PS4 Neo.

According to Nintendo of America president and CEO Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo focuses on games, not specs. Instead of specs or the horsepower of a particular system, Ninendo gives utmost importance to content, Fils-Aime told Bloomberg West during an interview.

Fils-Aime said Nintendo is a content-focused company; and they create entertainment that makes people smile. "So for us, we're focused on bringing our best entertainment to both the Wii U and the NX in the future," he pointed out.

Fils-Aime went on to add that whatever Microsoft and Sony are doing as far as the talks about the new systems are concerned, that is for these companies to fight out. For Nintendo, they want to ensure that are offering their best content, and currently, the reaction to "Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has been more than what they had imagined.
