Bank Of America has tied up with Apple Pay to enable users withdraw funds from ATM. The prestigious financial organization is rolling out support for the card-less ATMs across the country.

As reported by 9to5Mac, a user noticed NFC reader in an ATM located at Redondo Beach, California. Being a Reddit user, the person posted the image that showed NFC reader at the left of card reader. The NFC reader did not light up though.

It is possible to withdraw cash using Apple Pay in your mobile, only with the Bank of America Cards. The smartphone has to be tapped on the NFC Logo, following which user will be asked to enter the pin. The remaining process is same as ordinary ATM withdrawal.  However, the Apple Pay service is not available for depositing cash. The process does not accept any other bank card.

650 card-less ATMs were deployed back in May in San Francisco. The support will be available for other 2400 ATMs too where the service was extended. The company plans to expand the service in 5000 ATMs across the nation by the end of this year, pointed MacWorld.

The NFC logo is proof that the bank is keeping its promise. In many ATMs, the NFC logo is present but they are not in working condition yet. It is evident that the bank is currently working towards making it available in bigger perspective.

While the bank has not issued any statement justifying the claim, it is likely that it will do in some time. The Bank of America page dedicated to Apple Pay shows the whole process in pictures and words to make it even easier for users.

Previously Apple Pay could be used to pay for bills using credit or debit card of the bank. However, the bank seems to have understood the importance of Cash and this collaboration is far-fetched.

There are shops in America which do not accept card till date or there is a minimum purchase requirement. ATM cash withdrawal is still a necessity. However, finding an ATM that supports Apple Pay cash withdrawal is the biggest change one is going to face.
