Selena Gomez recently sat in James Corden's car on 'The Late Late Night Show' for carpool karaoke. Following the footsteps of other famous singers in Hollywood, including Adele, Gwen Stefani, Demi Lovato and Justin Beiber, Gomez sang a multitude of songs on her 12-minute joy ride with Corden.
Gomez energized the entire trip with her song "Song Old Love," before she asked Corden to make a fast pit stop on the way, according to E! Online. Corden and Gomez sang latter's hit single "Come & Get It" before they stopped by their pit stop. The duo returned back to the car and sang "Hands to Myself" before taking ginger shots that Corden found absolutely disgusting.
Continuing their journey of carpool karaoke, Gomez and Corden made their next stop at McDonald's. At the fast food joint, the celebrities found Gomez' song lyrics written on the cups. Gomez confessed that she had heard that such cups do exist, however, have never seen them.
Soon, an employee figured out that she was actually serving a star and started to scream the name of the singer. Meanwhile, Corden and Gomez discovered that their Coca-Cola cups had lyrics from "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" printed on them. Corden insisted that they should also feature Gomez's "Love You Like a Love Song" on the cups as well.
After having sung "Love You Like a Love Song" with Gomez, Corden asked the "Hannah Montana" star about being a part of Taylor Swift's girls squad. Gomez replied by saying that she is like the original in the group. Corden called Swift's girls squad as "sexist" since no man is asked to join the squad ever.
"I think the squad is a bit sexist, because it's all about being equals, and yet no man has been asked to join the squad? I actually find it degrading to men," Corden said of Swift's girls squad.
Gomez did not seem disappointed by the criticism at all. In fact, she argued by saying that the industry could actually use a bit of female sexism and that the girls have all the rights to be that way. The singer even offered Corden an opportunity to hand out with Swift and the other girls in her squad.
Meanwhile, Swift has declared a war on YouTube. The 26-year-old "Bad Blood" singer has joined 180 performers to call for the reform of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act, according to Vanity Fair.
