Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been reported to sport an improved RAM, expected to storm with 7 GB worth of memory as it launches this year. An iris scanner is also speculated to be the phablet's newest feature, probably replacing the now common fingerprint scan.

While Galaxy S7 has been considered a success since its launching this year, Samsung is considered to be getting back on track as well after the Samsung Galaxy S6 did not fare well last 2015. The Korean tech-giant does not want to be derailed again, and this may be evident in all the specs the Note 7 is rumored to be having.

Aside from the massive improvement in RAM, the upcoming phablet has also been reported to follow the 2K resolution display trend that is currently being applied to other smart phones and devices, slowly dominating the smart phone population, Know Your Mobile reported.

The same report added that new Note producitivity features will also be included. A new productivity dubbed as "Samsung Focus" is rumored to debut in the Note 7. The feature would allow users to manage incoming and outgoing mails, tweets and other things related to social media. It will act as a communication hub among applications which would help users jump from one application to another.

While the S7 has been highly-praised because of its camera, the Note 7 is reportedly working on a brand new 1/1.7-inch CMOS camera sensor with a ƒ/1.4 aperture. It has been speculated that the Note 7's camera resolution may lie between 18 to 24 megapixels.

Meanwhile, long-time Samsung consumers may have noticed the jump in naming scheme of the upcoming phablet. Based on history, the last launched Samsung phablet was the Galaxy Note 5.

Though traditionally, a Note 6 should follow, it has been reported that Samsung does not want to give consumers an impression that the new Note is an old device rather than its newest flagship. This is the main reason why Samsung is speculated to skip one number to name its new device as Note 7, Forbes reported.
