A Chinese supply chain of Apple Inc. recently leaked two images online displaying the rear cases of the purported iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The latest leaks offer details of the iPhone 7 camera, which are in line with what several analysts expect to come with incremental upgrades.

As far as the leaked images of the purported iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are concerned, apparently the larger device will sport a dual-lens camera. On the other hand, the iPhone 7, which is a smaller 4.7-inch model, will have a more conventional camera setup.

The images were first posted on Nowhereelse.fr, which has been a very reliable source on several leaks. The image showing the rear of the purported iPhone 7 reveals the probable antenna bands confined to the edges of the phone's casing, instead of running along the rear, MacRumors reported.

Aside from the normal microphone and LED flash, the image apparently displays a bigger projecting camera cut-out. This corresponds with the prevailing rumors that the upcoming 4.7-inch iPhone 7 will sport a larger rear camera, which is expected to be equipped with an improved CMOS sensor.

Interestingly, the upcoming iPhone 7 is expected to retain the headphone jack, Engadget reported quoting sources at the Chinese repair shop named Rock Fix. The report further claimed that the iPhone 7 is likely to come in two varieties. The first one will be a base model that will replace the iPhone 6, while the second model is expected to be the flagship model.

The media outlet's claims are contrary to the prevalent and seemingly confirmed rumors suggesting that the Cupertino tech titan will completely change to Lightning and Bluetooth audio output for wired as well as wireless headphones. However, these claims seem to be highly unlikely.

The second leaked image, allegedly that of the upcoming iPhone 7 Plus case, displays a pill-shaped camera enclosure. This substantiates widespread rumors that the larger 5.5-inch handset will sport a superior dual-lens camera.

The image also depicts an unusual opening in the center of the top of the plastic covering enclosing the case. According to Nowhereelse.fr, this may suggest that the device could house a sensor or some sort of port in this unusual location.

The upcoming handsets are also expected to hang on to iPhone 6s-like designs, powered by faster Apple A10 processors, incorporate dustproof and waterproof technology and have faster LTE and Wi-Fi. As of now, it is expected that Apple will announce the iPhone 7 series in September.
