Fans have been teased with the possibility of a new episode from "Mortal kombat X" after the game's co-creator Ed Boon spilled some beans on his recent Twitter post, indicating that even if the studio may still be fresh from announcing the "Injustice 2," the company are now set to reveal something new regarding "Mortal Kombat X."

But more than the revelation of an upcoming change in "Mortal Kombat" franchise, there was a hook left by Boon after he typed the letter E,V, and O in parts of the tweet in uppercases, while the rest are in lowercase letters. This gesture left a subtle hint with the real hunch on when will the new "Kombat Pack 3" be released as EVO 2016 is scheduled in July.

If Boon's announcement will be confirmed on the next few days, fans and followers of "Mortal Kombat X" could anticipate great changes on "Kombat Pack 3" with traditional characters waiting to be improved, Christian Post reported.

Based on previous developments done on "Kombat Packs," fans could hope for new "guest" characters to be revealed on the latest Pack available for DLC.

"I always think there's a novelty to it and there's a certain amount of people who think that when they see a guest character that it took the slot of a DC character that they wanted to have," Boon told in an interview with Game Informer.

"But you know, Scorpion in 'Injustice' was the most downloaded of all the characters. There was a coolness and a novelty factor to seeing the mixing of the things. Alien and Predator in 'Mortal Kombat X' were the most downloaded of those, so I would be surprised if we didn't do any of that [in Injustice 2]," he added.

As of the moment, some of the DLC characters included on "Mortal Kombat X" are Jason from "Friday the 13th" franchise, Leatherface from the "Chainsaw Massacre" films, a predator and an alien.

"Mortal Kombat X" is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and mobile devices.
