The former basketball star has not revealed his plans moving forward, though there are speculations he is entering the media production field. However, he has been seen in China promoting some personal businesses.

The 37-year-old ex basketball player has always been close with Chinese fans, making previous visits to China at least once a year. He is considered the most famous NBA player in China as documented in the World Fame 100 in ESPN.

The retired basketball player is famous not only as an athlete, but for embracing many cultures. He speaks English, Spanish and Italian. He married Vanessa Laine, who is of Mexican-American blood.

Last weekend, the former Los Angeles Lakers star visited Taiwan and took part in a meditation retreat, United Daily News, NBA's Taiwan edition reported. The "cool" part of his travel to Taiwan did not happen just because the retired athlete loves to contemplate but to help arrange and organize his travel schedule.

Bryant wore meditation clothes and had the meditation session in the most typical wooded mountain. He is not in Taiwan for meditation alone, he has basketball camps running in China with athletic hopefuls, according to ESPN.

On July 27, Monday Bryant shared on social media a photo of himself and Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan having a dinner in Beijing. In the photo caption, he thanked the Chinese martial arts icon for the great dinner. There were rumors that Bryant is looking to work with Chan.

Thank you Jackie for a great dinner in Beijing!
