During his recent interview, "Game of Thrones" showrunner D.B. Wiess revealed that Ramsay Bolton actor Iwan Rheon actually auditioned for the role of Jon Snow and even came close to taking the part.

While many despise the Welsh actor's character in the show, it may have shown Rheon's versatility in taking different characters as testified by Weiss. The co-producer said the 31-year old actor was incredible during the audition, reaching the very end of the process and was among the final choices for the said now-famous character, Deadline reported.

Weiss even described how versatile Rheon is as an actor, mentioning the latter did not only play the role as a "snarling villain" of "Game of Thrones." Weiss described him as "intelligent" and "charismatic" with a huge sense of humor, adding that it was so much fun to write for the actor.

Apparently, fans are not the only one disgusted with Ramsay Bolton. Rheon, the actor himself, admitted how uncomfortable playing the role for him, even revealing he felt horrible shooting the rape scene between him and Sophie Turner, Refinery 29 reported.

When asked about the rumored pregnancy of Sansa Stark, and what his character meant by saying "I am part of you now" in the season's penultimate episode, he quickly cleared that Ramsay was talking about the psychological damage he has done to Sansa, and how she would never be able to take it away. He did not confirm nor denied the speculation, as he was also clueless on what may happen in the succeeding events of the famous game series.

He also said that playing the role of Ramsay did not affect him at all as person, clarifying he was not really a psychopath contrary to the character he played. Aside from being an actor, Rheon is also a singer and a musician. He played other roles in movie and TV in "Misfits," "Vicious," and "Residue" among others.

Season 7 of "Game of Thrones" will air on HBO in 2017. For those who have not yet seen the season finale trailer of "Game of Thrones" watch the video clip below.
