The plot of "Jupiter Ascending" revolves around a girl named Jupiter Jones, played by Kunis, who had been working as a house maid all her life.

Unknown to Earth's residents, life on the planet has been seeded clans of alien royalty with the purpose to harvest evolved humans after they reach the "Darwinian state of perfection" and use them to produce a sort of youth serum that allows the alien race to live forever and Jupiter Jones just happens to be one of the alien race's descendants.

She is actually the heir of the House of Abrasax, the most powerful of all the alien dynasties and happens to be in chaos because of three heirs fighting for the throne after the death of its matriarch.

The three children of Abrasax--Balem, Kalique and Titus--have raged war against each other and eventually takes the war to Earth, where Jupiter Jones lives.

She then meets Caine Wise, a genetically altered interplanetary warrior who was tasked to introduce her to her fate as the heir to Earth and protect her from the raging war in the House of Abrasax.

The creators of the film, Lana and Andrew Wachowski, were the geniuses behind hit movies like "The Matrix," "Speed Racer," "V for Vendetta" and "Cloud Atlas."

Though some had lauded its cinematography, many were disappointed about how the storyline was written, with a few noting how the Wachowskis had been given way too much creative license because of their past hit films.
