The official Instagram page of "Call of Duty" released three behind-the-scenes photos of Harington on set as they shot scenes for the game. One of the photos shows Harington sitting down for a face scan while another features the actor in a full motion capture suit. The photos were captioned with an advice asking future players of "Infinite Warfare" to prepare for Kit Harington's character as the SetDef admiral of the Olympus Mons.

According to TIME, director Guy Ritchie and the development team worked with Harington for a week to bring the villainous character to life.

The narrative director of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Taylor Kurosaki told Game Informer that the game's plot is a classic war story set in the vast reaches of space. The player (as Reyes) will lead a fleet against the evil Settlement Defense Front which is led by Harington's character, Admiral Salen Kotch.

Kotch is the chief "sailor" of the Settlement Defense Front's fleet and the captain of the ship Olympus Mons. The player will have to go against the highly skilled antagonist Kotch who is leading a larger fleet and owns a massive ship. The villain and his fleet aboard Olympus Mons will be chasing the player throughout the story of the game, building up to a face-off between both captains.

Kurosaki explained that they wanted a skilled actor to play the main antagonist of the game. They wanted someone who can leave an impact on the players, making them feel the antagonist's presence even if the players manage to escape the attacks, as they go through the narrative.

Kurosaki added that the absorbing narrative as well as the opportunity to play the villain convinced Harington to play the character.

The "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" development team had to travel to London to film Harington for the game since he is in theatre production for the summer. Kurosaki said that the team is thrilled with Harington's performance and with how he looked in the game.
