With the current models of MacBook Air and MacBook Pro slowly disappearing from Power Mac Center stores, rumors and speculations are now swirling around the technology savvy community as to when the new laptop models may be released.

According to Parent Herald, the new MacBook 2016 models are slated to be released sometime in the fall of 2016. However, the 2016 MacBook Air model may be released before the MacBook Pro, and more speculations run around avid MacBook users as to why this may be.

One valid reason for this delay in release of the new MacBook Pro 2016 model is the fact that the Pro may be bidding goodbye to the use of a headphone jack. As such, there may be more manufacturing work to be done as engineers may need to perform additional work due to the changes in the physicality of the laptop.

Due to the absence of the earphone jack, the newest MacBook Pro will need the new Apple Earpods, which features a "Lightning-to Audio" technology that allows MacBook users to access their audio through their earphones wirelessly. According to the same publication, this new gadget may be available for purchase for $29.

Added to this new feature, Ecumenical News states that the newest version of MacBook Pro could be pre-programmed with the newest MacBook OS X, as confirmed by Apple executives in the recently held Worldwide Development Conference. With this, the newest MacBook Pro may also feature an OLED touch panel and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor - a sensor that was only available previously in iPhone products.

The touch panel competes with Windows-based laptops, which has offered this same touch screen feature for a while. The MacBook may also be available in different sizes - 13 inches or 15 inches. Dubbed a "game changer" in technology, the newest laptop model will reportedly run on "the latest AMD's Radeon RX 400 series graphics chips, Cellular 46 connectivity and 4k display." Although these new features remain to be rumors, avid MacBook users are hopeful that they do indeed come true.
