Samsung released the unlocked versions of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in the United States.

According to The Verge, these universally unlocked versions work on all major United States carriers as well as CDMA carriers like Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint. Since it is difficult to find and only work with some wireless networks, Samsung made sure that both are compatible with GSM networks such as AT&T, Cricket, T-Mobile, and MetroPCS. This means that users can get a cell signal and data using a SIM card from their preferred carrier.
