"They talk a lot about his injuries, but the past 10 years, he has not been out of the top five at the end of the year, so he always came back stronger. It's the first injury to his left wrist. He had trouble with the right one awhile back - said Moya - Tennis is very stressful physically and mentally, and these things happen. It's about coming back strong, which I'm sure he's going to do," Moya said in an interview via Tennis World.

After struggling to return to form in almost a year and half, Nadal seemed to be on his way to reclaiming his dominant form following his victory at the Monte Carlo Masters and Barcelona Open championships.

Nadal showcased tremendous form in his first two French Open matches, but surprised the world with his decision to withdraw from the tournament due to an injured wrist. There are speculations the Spaniard could play at Wimbledon, but he also announced that he won't participate in the grass-court Grand Slam,

Still, Moya is optimistic Nadal will rise again.

"I know that he's 30 years old. It's not the same as when you are 20, but still I think you cannot write him off at all. He's going to be back fighting for the Slams."
