One Valve employee might have confirmed the existence of the Left 4 Dead 3 video game title after a screenshot from his computer showed a folder named "left4dead3" at the top of a list.

Valve seems to be allergic to the number three as they have not released a third installment in their popular series. Both Half-Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 are still nowhere to be found and there has been no confirmation yet from the company.

Fansite ValveTime spotted the Left 4 Dead 3 folder on the screenshot of concept artist Tristan Reidford who was posting a tutorial at the time for Destinations Workshop Tools, GameSpot has learned. After the image went viral, Reidford replaced the image with one that without the left4dead3 folder.

The fact that the folder does exist on the computer of a Valve concept artist may mean that development is already under way. In addition, Reidford also did not offer any explanation regarding the folder which could also suggest that they are already in some form of non-disclosure agreement with the public.

Another evidence of the Left 4 Dead 3 existence is its hidden listing on SteamDB which was getting a number of updates recently, SegmentNext reported. Reidford has also been spotted playing Left 4 Dead 2 a lot as speculations suggest that Valve has been testing their L4D3 assets inside the game.

The replacement image for the tutorial also seems to be photoshopped. The lower part of the original image was pasted on the top part of the left side to cover up the other folders where the left4dead3 folder was located.

Valve has not confirmed any of this or even answered questions straight regarding the development of Half-Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3. Fans have been spotting signs of development as far back as 2013.

One former Valve employee has also claimed that the Half Life 3 game will be coming out in 2017. There are some speculations that suggest the game's development has been delayed because Valve wants to create a VR version of the game with their SteamVR platform and the HTC Vive headset.

Left 4 Dead 3 is also expected to come out in 2017 presumably for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. One character in the game has already been detailed earlier this year.
