Another point guard gets his starting spot and his money. Jeremy Lin finally gets his starting nod and his money.
According to an ESPN report, Lin has agreed to a deal with the Brooklyn Nets.
"Point guard Jeremy Lin has agreed to a three-year, $36 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets, sources told ESPN's Chris Broussard and Marc Stein.
Lin tweeted about joining the Nets on Friday morning."

The Brooklyn Nets became the most likely destination for Lin after the Charlotte Hornets got busy locking up Nic Batum. However, they were not the only candidates for Lin. The Harvard standout also met with the New Orleans Pelicans in California, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.
Lin will finally return to New York but not his original team, the NY Knicks. He has gone on a tedious, roller-coaster like journey in the past five years.
After Linsanity broke out, Lin was snagged by a "poison pill" contract by the Houston Rockets-a known haven for Asian talent. However, he was not given the best exposure and the Rockets eventually traded him on his last season with the LA Lakers.
In Tinseltown, Lin was outshined by breakout star Jordan Clarkson. Reaching a low point of his career, Lin chose to sign a two-year deal with the team where he thought he had the best chance to shine again. He smartly took a $4.3 million contract with the Charlotte Hornets last July, "but the contract contained an early termination option that Lin triggered to explore free agency," ESPN noted.
Under the tutelage of coach Steve Clifford, Lin became a major contributor to the Hornets' resurgence. Playing behind and sometimes, alongside starting point guard Kemba Walker. This allowed other teams to appreciate his flexibility in playing on and off the ball and his unselfish nature.
Most pundits point to new Nets coach Kenny Atkinson as one of the factors for Lin choosing Brooklyn. They had a good relationship when the former was an assistant coach to Mike D'Antoni with the Knicks-when Linsanity broke out.
