Known to produce sleek and powerful mobile devices, Xiaomi is said to deploy the jumbo Mi Note 2 with feature upgrades to overwhelm the competition. Humming inside the phablet's metallic body will be the Snapdragon 821, MobiPicker reported, noting too that the same engine will be found on the Nexus 2016 and Note 7.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be made available in two key variants - one with 4GB of RAM and a model with whopping 6GB of RAM provision. The latter will equal the rumored memory chip that the Samsung Note 7 will boast of while dwarfing over the Nexus 2016.

Internal storage starts at 32GB and will go as high as 128GB, MobiPicker said

On the shooting department, the 6GB RAM edition will sport a 12MP rear camera while the 4GB model will impress with its 16MP main cam. Juicing up the devices is a 4000mAh battery pack that will charge up with speed as all models will make use of Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

And all the features now considered as flagship standard will come out of the box with the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 - NFC and fingerprint sensor among them, which are expected as the part of the headline features for both the Nexus 2016 and Galaxy Note 7.

Encasing the top-notch Mi Note 2 components is a metal chassis that is melded on the front with a curved glass display. MobiPicker said that leaked details obtained from Chinese microblogging site Weibo suggested of a gorgeous Mi Note 2 Edge Edition that will render in 2K display resolution. Part of the deal too is a pressure-sensitive display that is similar to 3D Touch on Apple's iPhone 6S.

But while most of its flagship rivals are expected to hit the market with starting price of over $650, the same report claimed that the flagship killer Xiaomi Mi Note 2 on release date will sell beginning at $376 with the top-end model ready to snag at still affordable price of $451.
