"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 fans are very much eager to see the upcoming episodes of the long-running hit The CW series.
This is why one viewer decided to compile several teasers from previous seasons and episodes based on what she thinks will be tackled in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8.
The finale last season left fans with several questions: Will Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) return? Will Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) be able to escape from the Armory vault? Who is the new villainous character? Will Bonnie (Kat Graham) die? Will Caroline (Candice Accola-King) and Stefan's (Paul Wesley) relationship survive until the end?
All of these cliffhangers were included in the almost four-minute teaser that the fan posted on YouTube.
But other than this, the clip also centered on Elena and the fact that she's been lying in the coffin for several years now.
In season 7, Damon's mom stole Elena's body and got rid of it. There were also several instances wherein Bonnie visited her best friend's coffin seemingly thinking of what she should do next.
At present, there are some rumors that Bonnie will be killed off at the end of season 8 to give way to Elena's return. Simply put, Bonnie will sacrifice her life so that the person closest to her, Damon, could be eternally happy.
Even though this storyline hasn't been confirmed or denied yet by executive producer Julie Plec, she previously said that it is their goal to craft an impactful story for Bonnie and her portrayer Graham.
After all, Graham previously confirmed her exit from the franchise, saying that season 8 will be her last.
Meanwhile, the clip also claimed that everyone wants to get Elena's body for whatever reasons it might serve them with. However, Bonnie is the only character that is tied to Elena's cadaver.
As a witch, Bonnie had a spell that claimed that the only way for Elena to survive or to be resurrected is if she herself dies.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will premiere on The CW sometime this fall.
