"Scream Queens" actress Lea Michele and "iZombie" star Robert Buckley have reportedly separated as a couple after a very short-lived relationship, only lasting for less than two months.

The romance between the two was quite short, considering that they were first reported as a couple only two months ago in May, from a source by E! Source. Having both a busy schedule and work load were crucial to both partners splitting up.

However, a source from US Weekly said that the couple had agreed that they were better off as friends and were still willing to communicate to each other even after the break up. The source said that they were willing to support each other in their goals and career as both being stars of their own TV shows.

Interestingly, the couple's paths will cross again on an upcoming show called "Dimension 404", classified as a science-fiction drama, because they're both going to co-star in it. This will provide them another opportunity to get close to each other again and perhaps reconsider rekindling the flame.

The pair were first spotted getting close on a dinner date in California, being really intimate and affectionate towards each other. Sources reported that they were rubbing each other's backs all the time and at one time were so close to each other's faces that they may have been kissing each other.

Michele and Buckley were introduced to each other as an item by a mutual friend and have since then been close until the split. Furthermore, it came up months after she and her ex-boyfriend Matthew Patez broke up after a long, two-year relationship.

The break up between Paetz and Michele has been very sudden and unexpected, since they moved in with each other and have been consistently close since. He was the Glee alum's first relationship after her late boyfriend Cory Monteith passed away, which she got a tattoo in honour of.

Michele, 28, plays as Hester Ulrich in "Screan Queens" while Robert Buckley, 35, plays as Major Lilywhite in "iZombie". Both of whom are considered as main characters of their respective shows.
