"Dragon Ball Super" (DBS) episode 51 titled "Feelings that Transcend Time - Trunks and Mai!" will come out in a few days. Black Goku is being transported to the future, and now the main question is whether the Z fighters in the present will make the first move and fight the villain in Future Trunks' post-apocalyptic universe.
The title of episode 51 shows that it would be character-oriented, but the stills in the preview trailer suggested otherwise. It does not mean that the relationship between Future Mai and Future Trunks will not be explored. The images in the teaser clip for episode 51 show Mai having survived the apparently deadly attack of Black Goku in the current arc's first episode.
Several scenes are a bit interesting, including the present-time Mai blushing in the presence of Future Trunks. Of critical significance is Goku's traditional narration of what will happen in future.
As many can recall, Goku's voice-over in the teaser trailer alleged that the Z fighters should travel to the future right away to stop Black Goku's rule of terror. While the statement was very brief, it holds a lot of meaning.
First, it seems the Z fighters will draw their first blood this time. In other words, they will pursue Black Goku, taking the fight to him in the future. The storyline is very different from the conventional "Dragon Ball" arc, wherein the heroes are normally portrayed as being reactive to a threat.
Furthermore, the stills in the preview reveal that Future trunks would have a rematch with Black Goku. Although the images may be a flashback, given that Trunks appears to hold his own against the villain shows that he has become more powerful than before. As a result, fans expect that a rematch between the young Saiyan and the mysterious Black Goku would happen in the upcoming episode.
"Dragon Ball Super" has been great since the beginning of Future Trunks arc. Its shift to a more somber tone of narration has been well received by aficionados and critics alike. Watch the clip below for the upcoming episode 51.
