Fans must brace themselves for a super-sized finale of "Outlander" Season 2. According to TV Guide, episode 13 is set in 1968 and it will see the first appearance of Brianna.

In the meantime, the website hints at the appearance of a mystery person who will play an important role "in helping Claire reconcile what happened centuries earlier during the Battle of Culloden. This character will reportedly be a familiar face and his appearance will lead to some "shocking reveals."

According to the Cartermatt's description for "Outlander" Season 2 finale, Claire takes her trip to Scotland with her 20-year-old daughter Brianna. They meet Roger Wakefield, the adopted son of Reginald and Brianna's future love interest. While Claire visits Lallybroch and Culloden Moor to make peace with the past, Brianna and Roger work on Randall family history. They develop a special bond as they spend time working on their new project.

Episode 13 features some big reveals. In the finale, Claire tells Brianna about her past related to her time travel adventure through the stones, her life in 1700s and Brianna's true parentage.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, "Outlander" executive producer Ronald D. Moore talked about Brianna and Roger. "

"They're very tricky roles to cast, especially when you're casting the adult child of two of our leads," Moore told the publication. "You want to see both characters in her immediately, which is a big challenge, just in terms of who that actress is going be. She also has to play, literally, the daughter of Claire in the 13th episode. And she has to have a certain chemistry with Roger. Even though she's in that episode very strongly, she's not as strongly in the next season. The role of Roger and Brianna grows over the course of the books. But at first, you're just seeing the two of them for briefer periods of time."

Later, however, the show will take fans back in time. It shows what happens on the day of the Battle of Culloden. Jamie attempts to stop the Prince, but fails. He and Claire come up with a plan that could put their lives in danger. Unfortunately, Uncle Douglas overhears and a deadly confrontation takes place between the two. In order to succeed in his plan and protect his loved ones, Jaime is forced to put everything on the line. He might even have to say goodbye to those he love.
