"Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 cast revamp is a major one, causing two mainstays Lance Gross and Jessica Camacho to be out of the supernatural drama television series. Coinciding with their exit, the Fox series is adding five new series regulars for its new season.

Daniel Reynolds (Lance Gross) and Sophie Foster (Jessica Camacho) characters will not be part of "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4. Their exit followed other cast Betsy Ross (Nikki Reed), Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), Joe (Zach Appelman) and Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon), who departed the series earlier.

Camacho is slated to appear in one or two future episodes, but Gross will not reprise his role anymore in any of the upcoming seasons, according to TV Line. Their departure follows the decision of the production to move their setting from New York to Washington D.C.

As Gross and Foster's roles were written out, "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4 will welcome five new mainstays to complete the cast. There is a speculation that one of the new cast will include Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) fighting buddy.

Ahead of its new season revamp, the series saw changes in plot lines that do not garner much interest  from the viewers, Cinema Blend reported. As early as Season 3, Fox planned to refurbish the series by introducing huge stars such as Shannyn Sossamon and Nikki Reed. Zach Appelman was also promoted to show regular that time.

Despite the movement in the storylines and cast, it seemed that the idea did not work that well, the publications added. Reed's participation in the series as a love interest for Crane seemed not to work out since Crane was seen involved with Katrina Crane (Katia Winter) in the earlier seasons.

The series was on a verge of cancellation last year that Fox even thought of moving it to Friday nights. With "Sleepy Hollow" Season 4, it looked like that the production is not giving up yet. Fox is giving the series another go to see if a new setting could change the fate of the horror/drama series.

Some of the scenes for the upcoming season will still be filmed in Atlanta. The show will commence early August with 13 episodes before its 2017 premiere.
