For quite a while, rumors have been running wild about the imminent launch of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Ditching earlier reports, which suggested that the smartphone would launch in August, fresh reports have emerged on Weibo that clearly indicates that the Mi Note 2 is finally coming on July 25.
A recent teaser on Weibo shows the numbers "2>5" that explicitly indicates that the launch date is just two weeks away on day 25 of this month. It also reads the message, "Love it, no one lose". The rumor mill keeps buzzing that there will more in the coming weeks that will give more hints about specs and features of the smartphone.
According to reports, the Mi Note 2 is likely to have two variants- 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM variant and 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM variant. The device is likely to boast a 5.7-inch QHD display, having 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolutions.
More reports point out to other features on the device that reportedly include a 4,000mAh battery that comes with a Quick Charge 3.0 support, a 16MP rear snapper and Qualcomm Snapdragon's 820 processor. NFC, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, 4G support are the several connectivity options you are likely to see on the phone, BGR reported.
As the Mi Note 2 launch date is approaching fast, more rumors regarding the phone are flooding the media. There are other features that you can expect, such as, a fingerprint scanner, a fast charging technology and a force touch feature on the device, GSM Arena has learned.
Since the smartphone will have different variants, the higher-end models will sport a QHD display, while the lower-end models will come with a full HD resolution. The biggest highlight of one of the variants of the Mi Note 2 is that the purported phone will come with a Samsung Galaxy S7-curved display.
Xiaomi is currently working on a new model, Mi 5s, which is another variant of the flagship smartphone Mi 5. The purported device is expected to make its debut in latter part of this year. The Mi 5 will reportedly come with a 6GB RAM and a pressure-sensitive display just like Apple's 3D Touch. It should be noted that Apple's 3D Touch technology allows your smartphone to respond to your subtle finger taps, ranging from light and intense pressure.
