"Pokémon GO" has become the most successful game for Android and iOS, and Niantic Labs is promising that this is just but the beginning. Elaborating on the future of the game, the developer said that the augmented reality (AR) title will get richer, especially with trading Pokémon being in the works.

While there is no specific timeline for trading Pokémon has been revealed, the mere prospect should get aficionados excited. The game developer has also promised that "Pokémon GO" may land on the popular AR headsets like the Microsoft Holo Lens.

"Pokémon" creator GameFreak made the initial games in such a way that would encourage gamers to trade with one another to finish their collection. The development team improved the gaming world by concentrating on the social aspect of the game.

Niantic Labs is set to emulate GameFreak and it will incorporate incentives for players to interact in "Pokémon GO." The AR title will incline on the social element as it receives more updates, and from the previous release, "Ingress," it is clear that developers are experienced in incorporating real-world social aspects into the virtual games.

"Pokémon GO" is set to become more or less like a mobile installment of the popular franchise. Although in the past few days the title has become one of the most popular AR games in history, the developer acknowledges that the current AR elements in "Pokémon GO" are a bit too simple.

In an interview with Tech Insiders, John Hanke, the CEO of Niantic said that one way of improving the immersive experience is to give the game support for dedicated AR headsets. The game developer is eyeing the Microsoft Holo Lens, but it is unclear on how the translation of the mobile title into users' homes will be done.

"That may be a fun thing to take advantage of," Hanke added.

On the other hand, there have been online petitions urging Niantic to release "Pokémon GO" to Windows 10 Mobile and Windows 10, citing the benefits of expanding the mobile game beyond Android and iOS, according to Change. Here is footage for more information on "Pokémon GO":
