Suzy's agency, JYP Entertainment, announced on July 11, Monday, that Suzy's wax figure would be displayed at Madame Tussaud's K-wave zone in Hong Kong. In order to create the wax figure, wax doll specialist flew from Britain and took seven hours to get Suzy's exact body measurements.

"Suzy's wax figure will be inducted into the Hallyu exhibition hall at Hong Kong's Madame Tussauds," JYP Entertainment said in a statement obtained by All K-pop. "Suzy is the very first Korean female artist to be displayed as a wax figure."

Suzy will be visiting Hong Kong in early August, just in time with the revealing of her wax figure. The actress talked about what the historic honor means to her in a separate interview with local reporters.

"As the first Korean female artist to be invited to Madame Tussauds, it's such an honor," Soompi quoted Suzy as saying. "Taking part in the long process of creating a wax figure was a new experience, and I want to say thank you to the production team. I'm looking forward to the day that the figure is up for fans to see."

With the upcoming launch of her figures, she has joined an exclusive group of celebrities whose figures are a result of extensive requests from fans, eager to see their favorite stars deified in wax. A wax figure of her boyfriend Lee Min Ho is currently housed in Madame Tussauds' Shanghai Museum.

Meanwhile, Suzy is currently starring in the new KBS2 drama "Uncontrollably Fond," alongside Kim Woo Bin. "Uncontrollably Fond" marks her comeback drama since MBC's "Gu Family Book" in 2013.
