The funny woman joked that she actually penned 700 scripts for 700 episodes of the show, but only four will make it to the streaming site.

"Seven hundred. There's only four movies, but I have written an additional 696 episodes. It's just kind of me and voiceover," she said.

Meanwhile, McCarthy will officially reprise her role as Sookie St. James in the four episode revival.

A few months ago, the actress was asked whether or not she will be part of the show and she said no.

"Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino explained that McCarthy couldn't join the series because of her very busy schedule.

However, the actress claimed that she wasn't asked to return alongside her co-stars Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham.

Finally in April, McCarthy appeared in "The Ellen Show" to announce that she will officially reprise her role in "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."

"And literally about an hour and a half ago we figured out that that I'm gonna go back and do it and I am so excited. And they are gonna be amazing," she said.

Talking about her return to the franchise, McCarthy said that she's very happy.

"To be back there and to be back in that world was pretty dreamy. It just felt like we hadn't been gone that long at all. It was really nice," she said.

"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" is rumored to release its first episode before Thanksgiving this year.
