"Mr. Robot" Season 2, episodes 1 and 2 spoilers roundup

Season 2 of "Mr. Robot" starts with the world that is facing a major economic turmoil as the blank expressions on the faces of bank tellers remind people that they can't have their life savings. The server is down leading to economic chaos.

Apart from Elliot Alderson played by Rami Malek, the life of Angela Moss, played by Portia Doubleday, has also changed. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Doubleday revealed that her character wants to change corporate America's core.

"Here's this girl that you think is maybe going to be compromised by the system, but at the same time, out of nowhere, she's very unpredictable with her behavior. . . . In the beginning [of the show], she's very attached to this idea of herself: 'I want to be taken seriously. I'm going to have this boyfriend.' This idea of this more perfect way of living," Doubleday said.

Towards the end of "Mr. Robot" Season 1, Angela's life went south she found out about father's debt and Ollie was cheating on her.

However, in "Mr. Robot" Season 2, she is re-programmed and fans will meet her version 2.0.

"I thought [it] was so perfect because it is the ultimate way of mind control," Doubleday said about positive affirmations Sam Esmail introduced to her.

She went to Landmark Forum for bringing about "positive, permanent shifts."

"It was really interesting in preparing for this role and where Angela is at this time, because in order for her to feel comfortable in the environment that she's in, she has to control the way that she thinks. There's something very dark and really obsessive about that, to have to control every moment of your thinking. There's something robotic about it."
