Kim Woo Bin's six-pack abs have been revealed in a new preview still of KBS2's "Uncontrollably Fond," and it is making fans melt. On July 13, Wednesday, the drama's production staff just released new still cuts of the actor from the drama set.
The released photos obtained by All K-pop gave fans a glimpse of Kim's firm physique. The actor, who plays a top star named Shin Joon Young in the drama, was just wearing a piece of towel after he got out of the shower.
The Hallyu star faces the mirror with lost expression, while doing some skin care. The steamy hot scene is expected to be shown in the upcoming fourth episode of "Uncontrollably Fond." The photo was widely circulated on Facebook.
"[Kim] Woo Bin's body is really good," a staff member told the news outlet, adding that the actor underwent intense training in preparation for his role. "It's the best."
"Uncontrollably Fond," which premiered on July 6, pulled in more than 40 million paid viewers on one of China's biggest online video platforms, Youku Tudou. On Weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter, the drama's search results increased from 500 million to 17.6 billion after its debut.
"On the first day of broadcast, there was an overflow of traffic and the server of Youku crashed," an official from the PR Company, 3HW, told Yonhap News Agency. "Also, real-time replies from viewers flooded the site to the point that they even interfered with the screen."
The drama's production company, Samshwa Networks Co., is confident that the popularity of "Uncontrollably Fond" will keep on rising as the story develops from the fourth and fifth episodes, onwards. It was reported that the drama was broadcast in Korea, mainland China, North and South America simultaneously.
Helmed by Park Hyun-Suk, the 20-episode on-going drama depicts a sassy and ardent love story between Shin Joon Young (Kim) and No Eul (Bae Suzy). The two characters, who get separated during their childhood due to an ill-fated relationship, meet again as an extremely bossy superstar and a materialistic documentary producer.
Other stars include Yoo Oh Sung, Im Joo Eun, Jin Kyung, Im Joo Hwan, Choi Moo Sung, Ryu Won, Jang Hui Ryoung, Lee Seo Won and Kim Min Young. It airs every Wednesdays and Thursdays on KBS2 at 09:55 PM (KST).
