All the fans of "The Walking Dead" have been eagerly waiting for some official news from the producers' side regarding the upcoming Season 7 and now it has arrived.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the first look of Season 7 has come out and it centers on Negan, who we got a glimpse of, in the Season 6 finale. The photo shows him with a smirk on his face, carrying the deadly Lucille and aiming it at one of the members of Rick's group. Well, this is an image that seems quite familiar as Negan struck more or less this very pose in the finale.

But there is a reason that the fresh look bears resemblance to his past appearance. It is because Season 7 will take off from where the cliffhanger finale came to an end, states Den of Geek. There is a lot of unfinished business to be done and the most important one is the revelation of the victim who was bashed by Negan with his Lucille.

Executive producer Greg Nicotero has also promised that the victim's identity will be disclosed in the Season 7 premiere and as has been said earlier, Negan is here to stay. Explaining further, he said that Negan is the kind of guy who loves every second of him being at the center stage of action, and the next time he appears, it is going to be about him gesticulating and relishing his own voice.

So, it is pretty clear that Negan will be in the limelight in Season 7. But there will also be a marked change in the course of the zombie series. It has been already said that the show is taking a dramatic turn and lead actor Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, has also confirmed it.

He stated that a change of power is coming on show as Negan has flipped the whole script. It is a new world for Rick's group now, which is dangerous, but in a different way.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 premieres in October this year and the first trailer will be released next week at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 22, Friday.
