With 23 nominations at the Emmy Awards, "Game of Thrones" is set to capture the hearts once again.

The nominations for Emmys have been revealed on Thursday. The popular HBO series' starts were stunned when they learned that they are nominated for most of the award categories t be delivered at the function. The entire crew was glad to see their names as nominated individuals for such a prestigious honor.

"Game of Thrones" has managed to grab a place in every possible category for awards. Starting from Best drama to best director, cinematography, production design, costumes, editing, hairstyling, stunts, visual effects, production design, casting, writing and make-up, the television series received the nomination for all these niches.

The acting category also nominated the best talents of the entertainment industry. Besides Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke and Lena Headey who have already received nominations in the previous editions of Emmys, new talented actors Kit Harrington and Maisie Williams have also joined the queue with first-time nominations this year.

The best part is that the Emmys did not ignore the guest appearance of the "Game of Thrones." Yes, you guessed it, right. Max Von Sydow has also grabbed an Emmy nomination for his stunning performance as the Three-Eyed Raven.

New York Times reported that in 2015, the fantasy epic received 24 Emmy nominations. May be the count of nominations has been a point low in 2016, but it still is the highest total for any other shows at Emmy.  Last year, the show won 12 awards at Emmys and became the first show to win the most number of awards in a year. Fans are waiting for the Emmys to see what wonder does the sixth season of "Game of Thrones" does?

Stars' reactions

Harrington and Williams, the first-time nomination grabbers couldn't control their emotions and were thrilled by the revelation. "For my work on Game of Thrones to be recognized in this way is an emotional moment for me. I could not be more humbled," Entertainment Weekly quoted Harrington.

Williams thanked the author of "Game of Thrones", George R.R. Martin, for developing such a story and amazing characters.
