Psy remains as one of K-pop's most viewed star on YouTube. According to the video sharing website, his song "Daddy" has gained the most number of global views among official K-pop music videos posted on YouTube from November, 2015 to June 30.

"Daddy" is one of the songs from Psy's seventh album "Chil-jip Psy-da". YouTube has recorded more than 170 million views for this music video, The Jakarta Post has learned.

Another music video from his latest album has also topped this YouTube list. His song "Napal Baji" placed fourth following Twice's "Cheer Up" in second place, while BTS' "Fire" claims third spot. In addition, original soundtracks of Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun" are among the top 10 most viewed South Korean music videos on YouTube. "Everytime" by Chen and Punch has placed fifth and "Always" sang by Yoon Mi-rae is at no. 7.

This feat by the Korean singer came four years after he released "Gangnam Style", a mega-hit dance track from his sixth album which remains as the most watched video on YouTube of all time with more than 2.6 billion views, The Jakarta Post reported.

Psy's new hit single was released November last year and featured CL K-pop girl group 2NE1. According to Billboard, "Daddy" topped the charts on its debut. The song ranked sixth on Hot Dance and Electronic songs and placed 97th on Billboard's Hot 100, as of December 19, 2015.

"Daddy" was Psy's fourth song in the top 10 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs category and with 4,000 downloads in its first week. Moreover, his new hit song also resulted to his first entry on Top Dance/Electronic Albums with Psy's seventh album "Chil-jip Psy-da" selling 1,000 copies during its debut, Billboard reported.

In addition to the most viewed music videos, the video sharing company has released the top 20 Korean YouTube channels with most number of new international subscribers also from November, 2015 to June 30.

The Jakarta Post added that YouTube revealed that seventy percent of online traffic for 14 out of 20 channels in the top 20 list came from global audience.  Widely popular music channel 1theK topped the list followed by S.M. Entertainment's S.M. Town in second place and children video producer ToyPudding TV ranked third.
